This is my 6th year coaching at Stony Point and 3rd year coaching baseball. I am a Physical Education teacher and also the Head Freshman Football Coach.
I was born and raised in Austin, TX and graduated from McCallum High School, where I played football and baseball. I attended Texas State University in San Marcos, where I received a Bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science and also received a Masters in Educational Leadership.
Prior to joining the baseball staff, I coached Soccer at Stony Point; worked 11 years at the middle school level in Round Rock ISD at CD Fulkes and Hopewell; and one year in Austin ISD at Northeast Early College (formerly Reagan High School).
My hobbies include attending sporting events as well as jogging, swimming, and working out. I enjoy coaching baseball as it is my first true love of sports, and had a lot of playing experience growing up. I enjoy coaching this group of players in the baseball program at Stony Point!
Stephen Cage
Varsity Assistant Coach
This is my 21st year in education. I have been in Round Rock ISD for 9 years and coaching at Stony Point for the last 3 years. Previous stops were at Marion High School in the San Antonio area and Cedar Creek High School in Bastrop ISD. Over the years I have coached high school baseball, football, and basketball; however baseball is definitely my first love.
I attended Marion High School where I was a four year varsity starter earning All State and State Level All Star game honors. I received a BA in economics from Southwestern University and a MS in economics from Baylor University, but my love of baseball brought me into teaching and coaching.
I am married to my amazing wife Teresa, who is a nurse practitioner. My son Michael is a senior at Mary-Hardin Baylor studying mathematics and education. My daughter Anna is a senior here at Stony Point and she will be attending Mary-Hardin Baylor as a member of their Acrobatics and Tumbling Team next fall.
