In case you haven't already heard... RRISD will stay closed an additional 2 weeks after Spring Break to help with "flattening the curve" regarding the spread of COVID-19 virus.
During this extended break:
- Wash your hands.
- Vampire your coughs and sneezes.
- Buy what you need at local stores.
- Do take out or drive through at your local restaurants.
- Have your kids visit some academic/school related websites over the break to keep their minds active over the extended break.
- No reason not to stay active, just follow prudent precautions.
From Coach Creek:
Good evening everyone. I am sending out an update just to keep everyone informed on the information as we get it.
Tomorrows varsity game at Hutto is still on as planned. We will play at 12:30 at Hutto, if anything changes I will let you know.
The JV tournament games are still on for tomorrow. A couple of schools have pulled out so there will be a change in game times and that info will come out as soon as we get it figured out.
The UIL has postponed all athletic games starting March 16th through March 29th. There will be no games over spring break. Our district is currently meeting to decide if we will be able to practice during this time. As soon as we get the answer we will put together a schedule and get it out to you.
Be prepared for several reminds being sent this evening to let you know of times for tomorrow.
Thank you and have a great Friday night.
From the district: There will be NO baseball practices over spring break at all.
With that being said there will be no baseball activities after tomorrow until we get further word from the district. The season has not been cancelled. The district will look at amending the district schedule and playing games as soon as possible as of now.
